Please make your cheque payable to "St Mary's School Ascot Development Fund - Performing Arts Centre Appeal" and send it to the AOGA Secretary, Development Office, St Mary's School Ascot, St Mary's Road, Ascot, Berks SL5 9JF.
If applicable, please state that you would like your donation to be Gift Aided - this can make a substantial difference - please see below.
GIFT AID (UK TAXPAYERS ONLY)
From 6th April 2000, St Mary's can reclaim the basic rate of tax on all gifts.
This means that every £10 donated is currently worth £12.80 and the difference is paid to the Fund at no cost to the donor.
In order to be able to reclaim tax, the donor must pay an amount of Income or Capital Gains tax equal to the tax to be reclaimed on the donation in the tax year.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can reclaim £2.30 on every £10 you donate on your annual Self Assessment Tax Return (assuming a basic rate of tax of 22% and a higher rate of tax of 40%).
GIFT AID DECLARATION
To enable your donation to be Gift Aided, please ensure that a signed declaration accompanies your cheque:
"I am a UK taxpayer and would like St Mary's School Ascot to treat all donations I have made for the six years prior to this year (but no earlier than 6th April 2000) and all donations I make from the date of this declaration until I notify you otherwise, as Gift Aid donations".
